How to make perfume at home | DIY with these ingredients
The current technological advancements can enable one to develop a unique sensory experience and share it with others.
One can promote their artistic creations over social media like their unique tunes, drawings, or food pictures.
However, most often, a particular sense is almost always left out, i.e., the sense of smell or olfactory sense.
Experiments prove that the brain responses to olfactory stimuli are entirely different from the other senses of touch, taste, sound or sight.
A simple whiff of a smell transmits electrical signals to the amygdala – the tiny almond-type part in the brain.
The control of memories and emotions in the brain stem from this amygdala. On the contrary, signals from other sense organs reach the part in the brain called the thalamus.
This thalamus leads the signal into the cerebral cortex, which interprets the stimuli – taste, music, touch etc.
