Inside the Brain of a Curious Child

Inside the Brain

Many chemical functions take place inside the brain.

As a result of this, children ask many questions about any matter to teachers and parents.

Sometimes parents get irritated and tired to answer the questions.

At a young age, the brain becomes very receptive.

The brain goes through two growth spurts.

One is from birth to age three, and another is adolescent.

During adolescent times brain gets super sensitive to any emotions.

During adolescence, brain wants to experience new things and primarily risky things.

So, the chemicals inside the brain make the mind interested and curious always.

The scientific process inside the brain

Researchers have examined brain function through MRI scan.

The curiosity gets aroused, and the portion of brains that regulate pleasure triggers.

Curious minds showed increased activity in the hippocampus, which is involved in the creation of memories.

“Basic circuit in the brain energizes people to go out and get things that are intrinsically rewarding," Ranganatha explains.

This circuit lights up when we get money or become curious about knowing anything.

The circuit gets activated, and brains release a chemical called dopamine which gives us a high.

The dopamine plays an essential role in establishing the connections between cells which signals to read.

According to the study, the students with high curiosity tend to remember things more efficiently than less curiosity students.

Curiosity helping to learn

Researchers observe another interesting fact.

The brain functions in such a way so that children learn things better with a curious mind set up.

Children even grab a whole boring topic if they want to know it.

The inquisitiveness helps to learn things quickly and helps to sharpen the memory

It is vital to explore new strategies to learn different educational topics.

The student should test their boundaries and should not have limitations in learning this.

Students should analyze their growth rate by exploring different challenging situations.

The main objective should be to increase the progress by pushing themselves to learn new things in their student lives.
