The "paragraph hamburger" is a composing organizer that outwardly traces the vital segments of a paragraph.

Why utilize a paragraph hamburger organizer? 

a. It assists students with getting their thoughts into strong paragraphs. 

b. It helps to show the organization or structure of ideas or the basic concepts. 

c. It helps in showing in a substantial manner how information is connected. 

 

Step by step instructions to utilize paragraph hamburger 

Step One: Discuss the three fundamental segments of a paragraph or story. 

a.    The introduction (top bun) 

b.    The inward or supporting information (the filling) 

c.    The conclusion (base bun) 

 

Step Two: Ask students to compose a subject sentence that unmistakably demonstrates what the issue here is. 

 

Step three: Have the students make a few supporting sentences that give more data about the point. 

 

Step four: Instruct students on approaches to compose a closing sentence that reuses the subject sentence 

 

For second language students, students with learning disabilities, and younger learner: 

a. Show them various instances of well-composed paragraphs and have them recognize the parts, or else let them study it all alone by furnishing various paragraphs with the parts marked. 

b. Provide students with a portion of the parts previously filled in.

For instance, you give all the "filling" sentences and request the students to compose a decent initial or wrap up the sentence. 

c. Provide students with one model filled in entirely with all the elements.

Request that they cut out each part and afterwards revise the pieces. 

d. Ask students to discover a paragraph inside their books.

Check whether they can recognize the various pieces of that paragraph.
