Also known as the Udumbara flower, it is also the rarest plant on earth. These flowers bloom once every 3000 years and are considered auspicious.

The blooming of the flower is believed to be the sign of the reincarnation of Lord Buddha.

Stinking Corpse Lily

The stinking corpse lily or Rafflesia Arnoldii is the largest flower in the world. The flower smells like rotting meat, hence the name. It is mainly found growing in the rain forests of Sumatra and the Malay archipelago in Borneo.

The flower is considered to be up to 3 feet in diameter and can weigh up to 11 kilograms.

The flower takes several months to bud and the flower blooms for only a few days making it very difficult to find in the dense forest.

Kadupul Flower

The Kadupul Flower aka Epiphyllum oxypetalum is mainly found in the island country of Sri Lanka. The flower has a very strong nice fragrance and is called the Queen of the Night or the Dutchman’s Pipe Cactus.

The flower is known for its pear white petals and beautiful fragrance. It is considered lucky to see this flower and it blooms only for a night and perishes at dawn.

Considering its short lifespan and beautiful fragrance, the flower is very rare and expensive. 

Happy Alien

The Happy Alien is a very rare flower found in the southern tip of South America. The flower is also called Calceolaria uniform and gets its name because it looks like a happy alien when it blooms.

The flower looks only yellow from far but when you get close, the yellow flowers look like smiling alien faces.

The corpse flower or the Amorphophallus titanum is one of the flowers that produce a rotten meat smell.

The flower is found in the mountains of Sumatra deep in the rain forests.

It is considered one of the largest flowers in the world and can grow up to 20 feet. The flower has no stem or roots or leaves and gets its nutrition from the Tetrastigma vines.

It blooms once every 30-40 years and is known for its stinky smell.
