Reading and Writing Activities

The content will talk about the interesting topic of various reading and writing activities.

You must involve your kids in different activities to develop their reading and writing skills.

These activities encourage the pre-readers and experienced readers to develop healthy study habits apart from their school curriculum.

National Reading Experts have developed the activities to meet the individual requirements of the kids.

The experts have categorized the activities in three stages,

Birth to Preschool

Activity 1: Books and Babies

Read funny stories or sing lullabies to your baby. Babies love to listen to stories regularly. While reading, show them the colorful images and illustrations in the books.

Activity 2: Repetition and Rhyme

Pick a story or poem with rhymes and read it to your kid rhythmically. Children love to listen to repeated and rhythmic phrases. Try to interact with your child using hand gestures and smiles.

Activity 3: Tot Talk

Talk to your children about everyday activities in an exciting way. This way, the kids feel connected to the world and get new ideas daily.

Activity 4: Poetry in Motion

Read poems to your kid with voice modulation. When your child gets interested in a specific poem, encourage him/her to read the same and praise his/her performance playfully.

Activity 5: Story Talk

You can talk about the other aspects of a story that you read to your child. An engaging, interactive discussion helps the child to improve their language skill and thinking ability.

Activity 6: TV

Choose to show good TV shows to your child so that you and your child can watch the show every day together. You can discuss your opinion about the show and ask your kid about his/her opinion.

Activity 7: Hearing
