Unsung Heroes Of Indian Freedom Struggle

Thousands of revolutionary commanders and liberation fighters gave their lives to free Mother Country from the grip of British control.

The fight that began with Mangal Pandey's martyrdom, as well as the Great Revolution in 1857, concluded on August 15, 1947, after India declared an independent country.

The country would never neglect the contributions given by these heroes to achieve our independence.

Nevertheless, we sometimes overlook the contributions of certain true heroes in the midst of overwhelming appreciation for renowned leaders such as Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru Patel, and Subhash Chandra Bose, and many more.

These resistance fighters were just as ferocious as the rest, had the guts to face death head-on, and, in the event, gave their life for Indian freedom.

Therefore, on this Independence Night, let us honour these rebels by giving some attention to honour.

 

1. Ram Prasad Bismil

A further rebel, Ram Prasad Bismil, proved instrumental in the effective execution of the Kakori Kand on August 9, 1925.

Sadly, early on September 26, 2019, he got imprisoned.

On December 19, 1927, he was hanged alongside Ashfaqulah Khan.

Ram Prasad Bismil disseminated revolutionary ideas during his lifetime by publishing and disseminating several publications.

He penned several nationalist poetry in Hindi and Urdu to inspire folks to struggle for freedom.

Many schools teach pupils his final letters to his family before he would be hanged.

 

2. Prafulla Chaki

Prafulla Chaki became Khudiram Bose's accomplice in Muzaffarpur's attempted assassination.

He subsequently tossed explosives at Chief Judge Douglas Kingsford's carriage, killing two more British ladies in the process.

During the trip, he assumed the identity "Dinesh Chandra Rai." He was apprehended the following day, and before everyone would hurt him, he killed himself with his pistol.

 

3. Kanaklata Barua

Kanaklata Barua, also referred to as Birbala, was a member of the Indian Independence Movement in 1942.

She organized a group of female volunteers whose goal was to raise the Country's Flag just at the British-controlled Gohpur Police Precinct.

She was gunned down by cops and thus gave her existence at the young of eighteen.

 

4. Sukhdev Thapar

Besides the Lahore Conspiracy incident of 1928, Sukhdev engaged in various revolutionary operations with Bhagat Singh but also Rajguru.

He also participated in the 1929 "Cell Hunger Strikes" and became the chief defender of the three throughout the trial.

 

5. Udham Singh

Udham Singh has been a member of the Gadhar Party and a revolutionary.

So in hopes of winning the Jallianwala Bagh slaughter in Amritsar in 1919, he murdered Michael O'Dwyer in England.

In prison, he was using the identity Ram Mohammad Singh Azad as symbolizing the three faiths of Punjabi.

After being hanged in July 1940, he became known as Shaheed-i-Azam Sardar Udham Singh.

 

6. Ramadevi Choudhary

The locals of Odisha referred to her Ramadevi Choudhary as "Maa."

She played a prominent role throughout the Non-Cooperation Campaign, visiting several communities and encouraging females to join the revolution.

She embraced Khadi and strove to improve the Harijans' lot in life.

 

7. Madan Lal Dhingra

Madan Lal Dhingra had been an Independent campaigner who killed Curzon Wyllie five times in the face at London.

The very first deed of the Indian Freedom Movement in the twentieth century was recognized like this.

8. Tara Rani Srivastava

Tara Rani was a member of the Quit India Party and planned to raise the symbol on the Siwan cops station's rooftop.

Her spouse perished as a result of British gunfire, yet she persisted in her fight.

That forgotten man disappeared after India gained freedom.

Those leaders were equally significant in our country's freedom, and we must remember them.

India could not have gained freedom in 1947 if it had not been for the political movement that they led and encouraged.

 

9. Shivaram Rajguru

Shivaram Rajguru, Bhagat Singh, and Sukhdev were also hanged for the death of English police commander J.P. Saunders.

He considered that violence was far more successful than peaceful tactics, and then at the age of 22, he devoted his soul to the country.

 

10. Mantangini Hazra

Gandhi Buri had another name for Mantangini Hazra.

She was a member of the Non-Cooperation Party as well as the Quit India Campaign, but she encouraged a lot of young people to do the same.

During the Quit India Campaign, she got wounded three times in a march while yelling "Vande Mataram." That was the day she passed away.

11. Ashfaqulla Khan

Another of the major brains underlying the Kakori Plot was Ashfaqulla Khan (Kakori Kand).

On August 9, 1925, he stole the train containing Uk government cash in Kakori, nearby Lucknow, alongside other rebels such as Ram Prasad Bismil as well as Chandrashekhar Azad.

He succeeded in eluding the cops, but his companion eventually betrayed him. On December 19, 1927, he got hung.
