Candidates who have passed/appeared senior secondary i.e., 12th exam or equivalent are eligible to appear in CSEET. All Graduates/Post Graduates are also required to pass the CSEET. This level has 4 subjects each having weightage of 50 marks.
It is a Computerised objective type/ MCQ based exam. Subjects include:
- Business Communication
- Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning
- Economic and Business Environment
- Current Affairs and Viva-Voce
CSEET exams are held 4 times in the year i.e., in the month of January, May, July and November. Student must secure minimum 40% in each paper and aggregate 50% in all 4 papers.
After clearing CSEET exam, candidate shall be eligible to appear for CS Executive Programme. The level has 8 subjects divided into 2 Modules. Few papers of this stage are MCQ based while rest are subjective type. Each paper carries 100 marks. Student must score 40 marks in each subject as minimum passing marks and aggregately 200 marks in each module.
Module 1 includes:
- Jurisprudence, Interpretation and General Laws,
- Company Law,
- Setting up of Business Entities and closure,
- Tax Laws.
Module 2 includes:
- Corporate and Management Accounting,
- Securities Law and Capital Markets
- Economic, Business and Commercial Laws
- Financial and Strategic Management.
And the Last level i.e., Professional Programme includes 9 papers divided into 3 Modules.
Module 1 :
- Governance, Risk Management, Compliances and Ethics;
- Advanced Tax Laws;
- Drafting, Pleading and Appearances.
Module 2 :
- Secretarial Audit
- Corporate Restructuring,
- Resolution of Corporate Dispute
Module 3 :
- Corporate Funding and Listing in Stock Exchanges,
- Multidisciplinary Case Studies
Last paper in this Module is Elective Paper with Open Book Examination.
Candidate has to select any 1 out of the 8 papers given below:

- Insurance Law and Practice
- Intellectual Property Rights- Laws and Practice
- Forensic Audit
- Direct Tax Law and Practice
- Labour Law and Practice
- Valuations and Business Modelling
- Insolvency : Law and Practice
Apart from the above exam, student must also complete the Practical training to obtain membership from ICSI.
